Default 05 prices???

Just wondering what prices all you guys have seen on the 05 GT's. Just asking because I went to a local ford dealership last week and test drove one. It was a demo car, used with 4000 miles, every option, DSG, 5 speed, when I got back and asked what they wanted for it I ran as fast as I could and got back into mine. They wanted $32,999, and like I said it was used :dontknow:

That's what a new vert should cost, not a used hard top. Wow, that's pretty damn expensive. I'm not sure what the prices are, but I do know there is such a high demand for them that they aren't budging too much on the prices.

Did any of you happen to read the MM&FF article about the 2007 Shelby cobra....In that article they said the Shelby was one of a few special addition mustangs they are going to make with the new body style. So I'll be praying for a new mach 1 and that's what I'll spending my $32,000 on!

the new gt's top out around 30k. so for a used '05 to be a few thousand more, I'd stick my middle finger at them. The one at my local ford dealer was listed as 24,999 brand new but lackingn a few options.

Supply and demand guys...

You know how hard it is to get an 05GT. If you want it bad enough you would pay 3-5K over sticker as well. Its really not that suprising. Ford miscalculated the popularity of the 05GT and is stuck with a lot of backorders to fill. Months and months of them.

So wait for 6 months? or Buy one now for 4k more?

Im sure if you were in the position and had the cash, you would pay the 4k too.

Sticker price on my 05 Gt was 24322. It was the premier so it did not have the Shaker 1000 sound system but it had the Shaker 500. Mine does not have the silver dash and all that needless stuff. But what is has is A/C, PW,PD,6 Disc cd changer,5 speed, pwr seats. I think that all that comes with it. Also through my work we have the Ford X-Plan. Which calculates to 2400 off the sticker price so all together I paid 21922. Give or take.

Wow, 21,922 is a great price! Sometimes I wish I lived somewhere other than California because I've seen some of the prices you guys pay in the midwest or east coast and in some cases it's way less than Cali :angryfire

wait a few years until the 07, it will be cheaper and not have so many bugs in it. I had a friend that was taking his 05 GT to the dealership every week for something new. Fuel tank problem, the automatic shifter locked in place and would not move, had something wrong with his brakes. He finally gave up and got his money back and got something else.

I am just going to wait a few years, they willl be cheaper, you'll find a used one for sure (since so many people like to lease cars these days) and they wont have as many problems hopfully.
