Anybody in the Twentynine Palms area or within 100 miles of there? Just curious.

You are all pretty luck to live in such a beautiful state where the weather is great all year long and you never have to deal with snow tires and below zero temperatures!

My first visit to California was San Diego and I loved it.

Oh you picked the perfect place to visit for your first time. San Diego probably has close to the best weather on earth.

Notice that everyone is talking about San Diego, The Valley, and other places that are actually NICE. Lol...im stuck out in the middle of the desert where there is NOTHING but sand and joshua trees. there is nothing to do around base either. you have to go 45 minutes to palm springs if you wanna get away from the military scene...but yes san diego is very nice.

Can't wait to go again.

Grew up in the inland empire.. south east of riverside. Feels just like 29palms except we're closer to the nearest mcdonalds.

Why don't we consider a california member GTG? We can set it in Bakersfield so it's middle of the state and only SNTBakos will have it easy?

What do you say? Good idea? Bad idea? Thinking halloween-ish might be a neato time for it and B-field is so far out in the middle of nowhere we can find a nice open spot to have the meet. I'm hoping my new motor will be in and tuned by then too.

gtg=get together.

it's just as far for me. Part of the fun is the long cruise and just having highway fun with other mustangs. Sometimes the caravan will pick up strays along the way... people that don't know what's up but definitely want to be part of it. I've driven as far as 500 miles with just mustangs and lightnings. It's always a hoot. One knott's show had us in a train like 100 cars long all doing a buck-10 over the grapevine. Beautiful thing.

now thats what i want to happen...on my way out to bakersfield pick up some strays. Would someone meet me at the morongo casino? Thats on the way for me to bakersfield, and past palm springs. I might be able to get codiddy from base to go with me, if he is up for the trip. But second week of the year would be best, then im settled in after getting back from the deployment.
