Default I need more money

I see all this stuff that I want to put on my car and I dont have the money for it. I just need to start my own fund raiser called "HELP SWERVO MOD HIS CAR FUND", and go door to door asking people for money. :evil6: LOL Anyone want to help contribute? It's for a good cause. LOL :angel9:

Yeah, this is a common problem for car owners.

I agree. I think every single person on this board has that problem.

Also, do you guys get a lot of crap from family members / friends wondering why you spend so much money on your car?

Nope, cuz a lot of friends/family members do the same lol. I like telling people I spent about $1600 on exhaust.

LOL, yea I have the fund going too, and it was even worse for me cause I just got outta highschool. But oh well, that makes all that I do to it that much better, cause I had to work really hard for it. Yes, the family (the women anyways) wonder why I spend the money, but Im like, "hey, its like you buying pocketbooks and shoes all the time..." Then they just come back with, "no thats different" LOL

It's a problem no matter what age you are. I'm 45 and last night watching the 10:00 news they announced a single winner of the 216 million dollar Powerball Lottery. All I could think of was type of forged block and power adder I'd get if I won. So sad, it does not go away with age. I'll be 80 and bitching about gifts for the great grandchildren cutting into my mod money.

That'd be pretty cool. An old man driven the sh** outta his car, kinda reminds me of carrol shelby test driving the shelby cobra concept car.

I dont buy the mods unless I have the extra money sitting there available for spending, but I do have a "help me pay off my vehicle" fund, just like most owners here.

If I weren't so determined to stay married after 14 years I would add some goodies for performance. But my better half has a real problem with me changing a 1 year old car. I have improved the looks slightly but I need more performance dammit. I guess I'll have to wait till I pay it off in 4 and 1/2 years. i think my wife is hampering my mid life crisis. At least I didn't buy a Harley. Like most of my comrades did. Dayyymm. :icon_salu

What you need to do is just add the parts as "routine maintance".. You know replace the serpentine belt when you do the underdrive pulleys, "but honey it needed a new belt" or put in new steeda springs and shocks, "you know it needed new shocks"..

At least it has worked for me so far :laughing9

My wife will not allow me to get a Bike so she lets me do whatever to the stang like add a Cobra block with turbo. The Cobra block with upgraded internals will go in by end of this month and turbo in about 2 years or less. I would of done it at the same time but we have to buy a new house before I can. Shes a gearhead like me so she likes the mods as much as I do thats why she got the Hemi Durango. I think any Mustang fan has to marry someone that understands the hobby or you will have strain in the relationship. The only thing she does not let me do is add stuff that makes any of our cars look corny. It also helps out that I do one mod on her truck and I do 2 on mine :icon_sunn
