Lightbulb My turn now........to sell my cobra..

Yep that is right; I have been contemplating this for the last 45 days or so and today I have finally decided to sell my cobra. I have put about 300 miles on it in the last 13 months and with all the other stuff we are now doing the car just really sits and the fact we have 3 car payments I can sell my cobra and free up that money to invest instead of letting it sit there in the garage. Very sad for me to do but at this time its best so someone else can enjoy this sweet ride. I will likely get another one in the next 16 months as I really want a convertible shelby so it will be more fun to take the family out in then my current car. Already started to look at the shelbys as the market is down to about 5k so by the time I am ready I will be able to get one for sticker or if I am lucky below sticker.

I would still take an 03/04 cobra over the new Shelby. The new Shelby priced at my dealership right now is $95,000. Just way to heavy for my taste.

Not sure I agree with that. I love my 03 cobra to know end but I always wanted my own shelby and this is the sure fire way for me to get one as MSRP for these is just around the corner. Some dealerships are already selling them for that you just have to spend some time to find them. Not to mention I want a convertible and I would rather buy a new shelby with the higher HP engine, big brake system, new suspension, etc, etc. I wont replace this car for about 12 months but it could come sooner just depends...

I know thru 2008 not sure if they will be making them in 2009. if I cannot find one them MPH will get my money in one of their verts with the SC and big brake kit.

Why do I have a feeling that this car will sell by 8/1 and you will have your Shelby by 8/15.

LOL Mike. The 8/1 sell date might happen as I have a few bites over at MPH but we will see if they pan out or not. I have already started to look at the shelbys but nothing serious as I told Julie that I would wait about 12 months if I can but I certainly wont have one in August.

You aren't selling yours are you? Amazing these dealerships still have markups on these cars....I bought my 03 for well under sticker at the end of the model run so my assumption these shelbys will do the same thing except not likely to go below sticker but one can only hope

Why are all you cobra ****ers selling your cobras?

I mean you don't see V6 people selling their **** cans and those are the cars that should be being sold and replaced with something better, but why cobras?

well mine is sitting in the garage just doing nothing. I have put about 300 miles on it the last 13-14 months. To many other things right now happening plus my 2.5yr old little girl is not fond of riding in it but she likes to ride in convertibles hence the reason I want a shelby vert. I plan to be back in another car in the next 12 months or so... I can make that money in my car do alot more for me in the next 12-14 months then letting it sit in the garage and do nothing.
