Default just got out of surgery...

and when i woke up...i felt like i was hammered. lol. i think i slept for at least an hour before the meds wore off. i got up put my shirt and shoes back on and proceded to fall on the bed. lol. got out to the waiting room and acted like a drunk retard. lol

anyways...i had a cyst on my right wrist that has been there for apparently a while (6 months to a year) and it had grown from the outside of my wrist all the way across between my pointer and middle finger. this was causing my wrist to swell and pain in my thumb area. surgery took all of 20 minutes

so yea, i cant drive anywhere today, and cant drive if i take the vicodin (sp?) for 8 hours. also, i cannot drive the stang for the next 2 to 3 weeks because its manual. lol. so i am stuck driving the sable everywhere. o well.

I had a cyst in my shoulder a couple of years ago. I had a biopsy (sp?) done on it, and it was filled with blood. It shouldn't have been, and everyone got like really concerned because it was like from an infection that I could have died from, yet I remember none of this ahaha. But yeah waking up was so weird, just didn't want to move.

yep, I've had a few surgeries in my life, some as long as 9 hours on the table. some as short as 30 mins. Anytime your under anesthesia you are out. You can't wake up on your own so they give you drugs to wake you up. Then they try to fight with each other. one drug wants you asleep, and the other drug wants you awake. It's the most f--ked up feeling I have ever had. Coming out of any surgery,

You should try it after a 9 hour surgery where they laid your guts on the table, and put 40 some stables in your abdoman. Then they want you to get up and walk in like an hour or two.. Gaaawwd.. You will cuss at any one in the room. LOL

3 surguries on my right ankle and they can't seem to fix it. Oh well I walk fine, run fine and I can use the accelerator......
I feel for you. I hope the recovery is quick and the whole ordeal was worth it.

.

You may want to discuss what meds your on with your boss also. Most narcotics are not what you need to be doing while working. Give yerself a couple days to heal up, and don't risk any safety issues you'll have doing pain pills.. Even mild pain pills like arthritis drugs can make you woozy.. If I'm taking anything stronger than a goodys powder I won't go to work..

i told my boss that i would likely not be working the rest of the week and he said to just call in to let him know. so i called in today and told him i am not working. i have friday and saturday off (two day i always have off) so i dont need to go to work again till sunday. by that time i should be ok to go back to work with limited abilitity to lift light things

It's good to have a boss who understands these things. He could be an ******* and hold it against you. Like I said, get healed up 1st or you could risk further injury.. OH yeah and BTW I too have Friday off plus the weekend. And actually I have no real pains to deal with this week.. I'll be in the pool or by the grill if anyone asks..
