controller right now.. can't make myself shell out $150 for a controller that I'd ojnly use for one game.. It's bad enough spending $50 for the regular wireless..

badass race sim game i have been playing for the 360 that i just cannot stop playing is Test Drive Unlimited www.testdriveunlimited.com
its a racing game with real cars and you free roam through the whole state of hawaii while racing other people on the same server. Super fun game, you get to customize your character, buy houses, cars, all different views, sooooo realist and the physics are realistic.

I don't have a HD tv either.. I do have a ED tv and it looks nearly as good IMO.

My kid has been waiting forever to get this game. His problem (and mine too), is the x-box 360 is a POS. replaced his 4 times since December. Now Best Buy policy is only 1 return per warranty.(60 bucks for that).. We got the intecooler for it from the start but still gets hard drive failure after a month or 2. Anyone else have this issue??

Now Best Buy policy is only 1 return per warranty.(60 bucks for that).. We got the intecooler for it from the start but still gets hard drive failure after a month or 2. Anyone else have this issue??

And that whole 1 360 thing for warranty is bogus. They should take it back even if it is your second or third console. If its inside of your warranty its inside of your warranty. Doesn't matter how many fail. If they fail under warranty then its still their responsibility.
As far as Microsofts warranty, yes, it sucks...hardcore...but shelling out the extra dough for the extended warranty isnt such a bad idea for this console, unfortunately.

My warranty was only like $30 bucks and Gamestop exchanges it no questions asked. I do have to buy the warranty each time, but $30 is better than another $300-400. Yeah don't use the intercooler. You get more problems with it. Latest car I won was the Lingenfelter TT Corvette. I still love my 931hp Cobra R and 680hp midly modded 69 Charger. Anyone do the Heavy Weight race in the Proving Grounds? That race sucks especially trying to use a 3800lb or heavier car.
As far as Test Drive Unlimited goes, I would hardly say its a racing simulator. I own it and while it's fun and all, it doesn't drive like a sim. The best part of that game is just cruising around.

im at level 18 i only have 4 hours of game play though. i suck at this game. i have everything turned on still. i dont think im ready for the ABS, traction control, or the stability to come off. this is the first race game i had since gran turismo on PS1 
my 360 is banned from x-box live. apparently they know when you MOD it.

Damn, you must have done some serious MODding to get banned..are you sure they didn't ban you for misconduct or something? 'Cuz you can have a MODded xbox and a normal xbox and play online, and the normal one shouldn't give XBL any beef..so..they must have banned your live account, not the MODded xbox

see if i did the flash thing than i could probably play online.... when i took my 360 to get modded i thought the dude was gonna flash the what-cha-ma-call-it. ill plug the ehternet in and see what happnes tomorrow. if it works than BONUS....

So Forza didnt put my dream car in, so I took it upon myself to make it as close as possible...be nice, first ever decal job in Forza. Sorry for the ghetto upload tactics, I dont have live hooked up...

I've only played the demo but it just doesn't make sense them not including an in the car view. The game seems awesome for those who like racing sims though. Man I wish they would make a downloadable '04 Cobra for Test Drive Unlimited to add to my Ford collection. hehe..

Original xbox is great for modding. 
A $50 modchip will make them do more than those expensive media pc's could ever do. A modded Xbox is a thing of beauty.

I argued with them and finally got them down to $75 and free shipping.. I still wasn't happy about that..

In three days I went through 3 360's until I got one that worked from Best Buy. So far this one has been running w/out a hitch, but we shall see what happens in the future. My warranty isnt up until November...so lets hope it will die prior to then. Otherwise I'll probably shell out some extra dough for the extended warranty.
