Default Who gets your gas money?

Mine goes to Unocal, Texaco or Chevron 99% of the time. Shell makes my car run funny anymore so I stopped using their gas.

The list below shows what gas stations are owned by whom by country. Most of these are public companies so the money actually goes all over the place but if you want to buy american or just boycott some other country, here's a good start.

Chevron American
Coastal American
Conoco American
Esso American
Exxon American
Gas Express American
Getty American
Gulf American
Hess American
Kerr-McGee American
Marathon American
Martin American
Mobil American
Murphy USA American
Pate American
Petro American
Phillips 66 American
Sergaz American
Sinclair American
Sonoco American
Spur American
Star Kleen American
STP Fuel Centers American
Sunoco American
Tenneco American
Texaco American
Ultramar American
Union 76 American
Zephyr American
Amoco UK
Arco UK
Boron UK
BP UK
Citgo Venezuela
Futura FIN
Red Rooster Canada
Shell Netherlands
Sohio UK
Standard UK
Total France

I use Texaco and Chevron when I can, but lately I've been putting cheap 91 octane in and then putting 4 gallons of 100 octane in from the VP racing station in Tracy....the car will ping sometime, that's why I put the 100 octane in.

Good man. Keeping it in the USA. 1 thought... have apex pull a degree of timing. then you don't have to use any race gas.

BP is one of the few I can see... at least they're UK owned.

FWIW... I'm not totally nuts. I buy some things from other countries but I'm more than happy to pay a little more to keep an American in a job... even if they are shitty jobs.

They probably buy if off of the major refineries, but dont put a brand to it.

I've been using shell 93 V-Power for a while now and havnt had any issues. Otherwise, its Sunoco 93.

given your proximity to the gulf I'd bet one of the local concerns is behind racetrack. I've never heard of them. Ask the manager of one of them. They should know. The cashiers probably wouldn't.

You guys might be surprised to know (or maybe not) most of your gas stations are using the same gas, from the same wells. I drove a Gas Tanker about 6 years ago and with all of the different branded stations here in Eastern NC only BP/Amoco and Exxon/Mobil were specific. Everything else came out of the same tank. No shizzle.

Im surprised they still offer 94 over there. They dont offer it in Philly anymore, which is odd b/c the refinery is here in Philly.
