Seems like a pretty good price, and looks sweet in both street and strip form.

Only if the motor is still healthy, the welds come with it along with the FR500's, and definitely start looking for a new tranny

for one thing you will need a **** load of money to insure that thing at a younger age

EDIT: nevermind i see its just a really built up GT.. GT still has to be expensive to insure if your in high school but if your doing it now then i guess more power to ya =D

Because in high school you should be worried about your education and not your car. Something on that car will break eventually, do you have the funds to fix it? It's a nice car but i guarantee it takes a lot of time and effort to maintain it that way.

I dont think this kid ever wants to move out of mommy's and daddy's house. Thats the only way you'll afford it. I rather have my own house

how old are you? 17? 18? Say you finance this car for 20gs... What if you throw a rod? Vent the block? Warp the heads? Do you have money to fix that? Yeah the car is built, but honestly, you dont have the money for that car even if you think you can "afford it".

Like they said above, it will need a tranny to harness that power. Can you afford to drop 6 grand on a tranny with 400+ a month car payments? At 18, Im doubting you do.

first of all, id have have to sell my existing gt, which would net me 13-15k. i work 35+hours a week, enough for a $350 pay check a week. and i do understand that i would need to get a new tranny to harness that power, but until i do, i would just have it tuned to where i wouldnt have to worry about it for the time being.

i'll be 19 and in college this fall btw

Trust me your not gonna be working 35+ hours a week if your a full time student....lol

This is the shitty part no matter how much you tune it and "safe" it is s*** has a good chance of breaking especially on a built car. Heavily built motors are meant to take a beating at the track but most of the time when daily driven have issues. And for some reason something break lets take for instance warping a head on that motor you cant just put a stock one on there as a fix you need to get already expensive head then install it.

But unless you know this motor was built by God himself I wouldnt say it was built well enough to not worry about it. I've seen built motors daily driver for no apparent reason start eating oil or a bearing gets spun.

But hey it's your livelihood I could give two shakes and a s*** what you do with your money.

Thats what i'm talking about....by the time your done with school and using it as a daily driver it will be beat to crap. -personally $20,000 goes a long way for a house and believe me a girl asks you where you live and your 23-24 years old and you say with mom and pops your not gonna get away with well at least I have a really fast car....lol

You have a nice car now thats payed off and can say you built it yourself later in life put the money to some good use.

spin brings up a good point. theres no reason your car couldn't be faster than that one. Or you could just hold out for a 4v.
