all wifi signals are coded and encyrpted... they have built in firewalls...

they are very secure... at least lynksys model are...

also... if ya run the wifi... you can set it up so that you need a password to get onto the network..

My wifi i have set so its not encrypted and there is no coding...

but my neighbors aren't close enough to get a signal and we trust them... which I guess is uncommon in other areas.... lol...

and if we saw someone that didnt belong they'd have a one way ticket off the property... he he
