Default EFI vs. Carb

My question is a simple (as far as performance and HP) Which is better a fuel injected 5.0 or a Carberated 5.0. Not day to day drivability or fuel economy all of that aside which is better in a 1/4 mile mindset?

it all depends on the mods. my engine is carbed and has less hp then an efi 5.0 because it is older

you make more power with EFI... but you will spend a fortune comepared to carb'd

crab'd engines burn gas like heck and are so easy to modify as well and not breaking the bank. Carb'd engines are used in nascar... look at what they can do... as well as drag racing...

so for a race car... I would personally go carb'd... no computer bull****... no special tuning that can't be done will a wrench in your own garage... and cheap horsepower...

Default very true

I totaly agree I mean i have nothing agianst fuel injection i have a highly modded f-150 but I hate computer BS like you said. It just kind of annoys me i mean im the kind of guy that whats to rely on know how and a set of tools and not worry about a computer holding me back. But while were on this subject when was the last year that a carb'd mustang was put out
