no she wasn't racing her mach, it was one of her friends cars. i just watched the show (tivoed it) and i thought it was stupid how the whole time everyone was liek "lets change drivers" "your racing a girl" blah blah blah.. it's like **** if she sucks so bad then why would you put your car on the line if you know she sucks lol.

and if you guys want to get down on girl drivers all the time all i gotta say is ashley force! i love driving force, it's one of my favorite shows.

[QUOTE=csledd] it's like **** if she sucks so bad then why would you put your car on the line if you know she sucks lol. QUOTE]

All they had to do was at the times she's running in her S/C mach to know she sucks! ha ha ha.....a driver who runs 12.6 is a S/C mach with just about every mod possible, including DR's is not someone I'd want driving my car on PINKS...regardless if it's a girl or guy.

I like watching PINKS, but I think the whole giving lengths thing is retarded. I guess it's the negotiations part of it is what makes in interesting, but I would hate to lose my car to essentially a slower car, just cause I had to give them lengths. I know the point of the show is to create some drama...blah blah blah.

they want to make the races as close as possible, in bigger cities where there's a lot of street racing action it's pretty normal for them to give cars lengths. it's strange. here it's always heads up or from an even roll, nobody ever gives lengths.

When she red lighted or whatever you want to call it is when the negotiator was telling her to watch his arms and kept talking which added to her stress level when she should of been calm and focused. The prep of the car was horrible how do you not test everything the night before or a few days beforehand. The crew was just flaming her so they would not look like dumb asses as its their shops name on the line.

Hello

thought I would drop in and reply to some of your comments and questions.
First and foremost I do not claim to be an incredible driver, but just love the sport and here to focus on my personal goals to get better at it. Being on Pinks was an incredible opportunity that was offered to me and I took it knowing that i would be up for all levels of criticism. It is just part of it and I don't take it personally. I don't claim perfection nor would I expect it from my friends. I just try to make the best decisions with what I got and sometimes it is not always the right decision. At the time of the invitation i had no car and no team. So i invited a friend to help head up the effort and we began to build a team. We got a car, chased sponsors, built and tested the car and made practice runs all in 6 weeks. About 80% of the car was sponsored and the rest the team chiped in on parts and time building the car.
As to my Mach1 and the runs i have made... The mods are definitely significant and the car can definitely get into the 11's. I don't run the Mach that much, just cause i am more worried of beating the hell out of it and having it in the shop all the time. I like walking into my garage and seeing her all clean and available just in case it is the perfect day out to lay drag! On my 12.60 run it was my first run of the season. I made a total of 3 passes that day and so i went for the 13 second class win in Truestreet at FFW in Atlanta and have not run the car since.

hope that helps

See you at the track!

You did well with what you had to work with and the situation at hand. Those good old boys were some fast talkers reminds me of Bettle Juice. With pinks its not the car with the most HP that wins but the mouth with the most BS.

I hate to bring this old thread back, but I finally watched the pinks episode with mach1girl. To be honest, she looked like a deer and headlights the whole time.....now I did think the way her team was talking about her was jacked up. I'm not sure how Pinks picks people, but I think it was way more attractive of a race to have her driving. I just thought it was messed up that her team didn't give her any reason to be confident and go out and whoop some azz.....The whole episode just seemed different than others I've watched...Props to her....no props for her team.
