my advice... don;t
if ya have to...
make sure all your tires are good, don't gas it or spin tires, drive slow, and remeber that you will not be able to stop as fast (ABS), so keep an extra sfae following distance...

Yeah, and learn roads to avoid. Recently the danbury transit people thhough it was a good idea to put a stop sign in the middle of a dangerousely steep hill near my old school, all I can say is THANK GOD i don't go to highschool anymore because there are going to be 100 accidents. you have to stop, then you will slide, its that steep, its hard enough to do on dry land. For ****s sake, this is one of those stop signs on a main road so a third road can intersect it at a 90 degree angle... by this logi I should have on infront of my driveway, and we all should...
peoples cars WILL be wrecked here unless it gets removed for the winter months.
Learn back ways of getting places, and always take the safest slowest way possible to work or school, but if need be, like a tree falss, you know how to get around.

I drove my old 04 GT for two winters. I threw on some snow tires and some weight in the back and it was awesome in the snow. It was better in the snow than the fwd cars I had before it. The mustangs weight enough to not get pushed around by tracks and if you have proper tires and learn to be easy on the throttle its really quite easy.

I drove my mustang in the winter in binghamton last year and I will be again this year. I threw 2 or 3 sand bags in the truck and bought some snow tires and I didn't have a hard time. I mean obviously you have to drive smart but it isn't all that bad.

Honestly avoid it. Im definately driving in the snow this year. I put like 6 bags of salt in the trunk and I really didnt see an improvement.
Going probably less than 10 mph I braked to get in my driveway and just kept going.
I spun out one time getting onto the main road, and that was it for me.
Just get another cheap car for the snaow.

Don't do it. I grew up in Cleveland and have driven rear wheel drive cars in the snow my entire life and I have to say that my '02 is one of the worst in the snow that I have ever handled. I finally bought some bridgestone blizzaks and threw then on some steel wheels and I was able to get around easily but I opted for the winter 4wd to get around and park the stang

i drove mine last winter..had a buddy sell me his stock wheels with all season tires on them...was not the best experience but definitly could have been worse...stoping is the worst part but with a 5speed if you can plan ahead just down shift and (well for me) that made stopping a lesser part of the problem...starting out ur gonna spin in 1st gear so just start in second and realize that ur gonna hve to shift sooner cuz as soon as the car starts to make power ur gonna spin

We are all fine with driving RWD cars in the snow in my family, just be careful. However, last winter my older brother had a small accident (got spun around, hit his lower front valance against a rock, barely hurt his car but the bumper couldnt have been returned to normal, so he got an '03 Cobra bumper...) and then he continued driving in the snow, however, he now has a Kenne Bell supercharger and still has the 3.73's and sumi 315s out back, so snow isnt the best thing ever, less he put snow tires on like he did (had them on for the accident too)
This year he bought himself a 99 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro... so that is his winter car and his DD... he put his GT in storage before he went to college last week...
STA-BIL FTW!

that's easy...don't drive a v8 rwd car in the snow. other than that, keep the rpms as low as humanly possible without stalling and keep your foot out of any of the pedals. It's all fun and games till someone loses an eye.

i drove mine one year for winter with brand new tires and it still sucked ***. i live in wisconsin and we get far worse winters than all of you. i got stuck in my driveway and had to be pulled out by my boss. i was 15 feet to the side in the grass before i called it quits and called for help. if there is any type of snow on the ground, you are going to have trouble.
