Holy SH*t
So my mom, girlfriend, and I were on our way home from eatin lunch at the mexican resturant around the corner and then suddenly out of the corner of my eye i see a bran new 2007 cobra I whipped around as fast as i could and got out the girls were so confused and this guy had preordered it in march and had just got it today. Only had 40 miles on it and was a metallic blue color with white stripes. It was amazing all the cobra/gt500/shelby badging and the stance and new front and rear facias just wow i can certainly say pictures do not do justice and that is one bad *** car... yet the guy told me that the computer will not put the blower on till 500 miles that would drive me nuts!!! none the less thought i would share my experience wish i had a camera

no clue
No idea as far as how that work but with the complication of modern engines and computers i wouldnt be surprised... It makes sense to break the engine in before u slam that supercharger on ya know? Special pulley?

???
Ive heard it from 3 people now so far though... and when the guy picked it up they told him that and he could tell there wasnt 475-500 hp on it the blower on the the 07 corbra is a screw style making 8.5 psi how much is the engine making before the blower u think?

Did any of those people who told you the blower doesn't work until 500 mile explain how on earth that would work since the blower is on a belt system? Doesn't ford run each engine for a period of time to break it in a little bit before slapping it in the car?

No...
No... they did not explain to me and i have only heard it from one person... in person... the others were on forums but ford only test drives it 5-10 miles i cant say if they put the motor on a engine dyno and break it in that way for however long... Now for the record im getting some flak for asking about the blower coming on after 500 miles and hear me clearly I can only go by the information im givin im shareing my experience and hear say that i have recieved not at any point have a definitivly said that this is 100% true i dont understand it but im not engine expert and im more then aware a supercharger runs on a belt system and quite frankly if i didnt know that wtf would i be doing here?

and...
Correct me if im wrong and this is just a guess but maybe the supercharger has a electric clutch? Similar to your air conditioner? The belt runs constantly on your compressor but only produces ac when you actually turn on the air conditioning? maybe the same concept with the supercharger and the computer?
