Tell ya the truth..I have never really liked the Saleen look. I think Roush and Cobra styles have it right.

Look at the side rear windows. Saleens have that different style than regular Stangs. That should tell you it's real unless there is a way to put that feature on your regular car. I have never seen those on a replica Mustang before. That is an easy way to tell them apart.

True, but I remember way back to a particular mustang Stang00 and I were looking at in the mall parking garage... we were iffy as to its authenticity, and it had those C-pillar adjustments... but something was wrong with it... like it had a V6 speedo or something =/ Maybe he remembers...

Couple of things from what I can see,

The Saleen Sail Panels
Authentic Saleen Body Kit
Authentic Saleen Rims.
The pony emblems that Saleen did use in their 99-00 stangs
Authentic looking saleen decals.

Onyl thing i cant quite see is if it has the number in the front
wouldn't a saleen have a different vin or come with a certificate.

I'm sure you can find out by asking a ford dealer how to differenciate

the true saleen's have engine plaques and saleen imprinted on the K-member. There's also a special sticker on the inside driver door instead of the usual one.

Yeah, I caught a lay off from GM in 03. This chit is no joke right now with US automakers.
