Default Got a ticket need advice

so i got a ticket today for doing 80 in a 65, thing is that the CHP didn't radar me, she said she clocked me using her speedo. i know she didn't radar me either because my V1 stayed silent the whole time. How can i get out of this? I am pretty sure there is a rule that in order for police to exceed the speed limit they have to have to have their lights and sirens on. Also if i ask the court to show me the mechanical records of when the speedomoter was last calibrated and checked, would that help?

Pay the ticket, go to court, get a reduced fine, do the schol for no points if you are able. It's called nasscar (speedo use) and it holds up in court. No L/s needed to go over posted speed, it's called code zero. You got a ticket, do the best you can to reduce it and move on.

thanks for the advice everyone it looks like just rolling with it may be the best option.

Jack: she didn't use radar or my V1 would have gone off, plus i asked her straight up if she'd radared me.

Dfroster: since you seem to know the laws, someone i talked to tonight told me if you're going more than ten above the limit you can't go to traffic school, know anything about this?

Spike: what do you mean reduced fine? i haven't had a ticket since i was a minor and am not totally sure how it works.

Spin: was gonna call a lawyer on monday but its probably cheaper to just pay it than hassle with legal fees.

If you did the crime, pay the fine. Be a man and take responsibility for your actions rather than trying to "get out of it".

so you think 65 is a realistic speed limit on a highway? Or is is it an antiquated speed limit from ten years ago when cars weren't as safe? I think the latter. Turd.

actually most cars get their best mileage at 55 so if you want to go for mileage in your already freaking economical civic, you need to drive 55. But i don't really care about mileage, thats why i drive a mustang.

basically fight the ticket, call the court house and make a court date. you will have an informal hearing in front of magistrate more likely than a judge. if the cop doesnt show at all you win (dont count on that one), you be asked to give your version of what happened, dont lie here, its not smart. the cop will give her version (sometimes this happens but not always, situation depending) most likely you will have the violation reduced, most likely impeading traffic, which is no points but around my area its $140 ticket. the key here is that you get no points and your insurance company does get to find out. if you flat out pay the ticket before doing any of the above mentioned you will get points and your premuims go up. you dont need a lawyer, its traffic court, and most cops are cool with get violations reduced. the biggest reason being most of the time you have to pay more money to avoid the pionts.
