The next thing is when someone builds a 600+ hp car, they expect it to drive and be reliable like their stockish 250 rwhp GT. Not happening. When you build a car, you better be expecting to break, spend a LOT more money on maintanence, and not be able to hook up for crap on the street. You also start thinking, "whats the point of having a fast street car that I dont race, but have 400 hp." Its a financial burden, and its just not fun anymore sometimes. Mike has a race car, he's found his niche in road racing, and doesnt like beating on his baby. My situation was different, I decided to cash in my chips to get rid of the car payment faster, and I havent been happier in quite some time. Its good to know I only owe a few thousand more and it will be all mine. And btw, I still look at my car when Im walking away from it too
I agree 100%, especially when the car is your daily driver.

This was the sole reason I put mine up for sale but I'm having second thoughts about it now that people are starting to call me about it.

I did the same thing. Was getting ready to put a sign in mine, even had some people interested, and got cold feet. I wont part with it unless its for an 03 cobra.

Just for the record, this thread is titled "Return to Stock" not "Car is For Sale"

Not to mention the following:

1: I AM UNEMPLOYED
2: I will be using this car as a Daily Driver again.
3: Gas is not $1.49 a gallon for 93 as it was when I installed the S/C.
4: I get into boost only once or twice when I drive the car. I am not using the car to its full potential.
5: I fear the law man and they are everywhere in NC.

I am sure there is more than that, but these are the thoughts going through my itty, bitty mind.

Now, I don't mind the car payment...I can live with that. But, car payment, $4k personal loan (which, BTW, was a debt consolidation loan) and now a $7K credit card balance incurred all within the last 12 months :wallbash:
is just too much for me to handle.
Don't get me wrong, I can make the payments once I start working again, but I don't want to make payments....I WANNA PAY THEM OFF!!
Then, I can start playing with the race car again. :shifty:
You know exactly what you have to do so just do it and dont look back.

OK, maybe I do somewhat. Hell, I'll even admit I want something that is fast but has more space. If I come across a blown Marauder for a good price, I might kiss the stang goodbye!
But, I still turn around in parking lots after walking away from my Stang so I must love it.

If only it was that same price in silver or red and didn't have a salvage title.
