Default Detroit Undercover

Got this from a local forum:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My younger cousin almost got busted for Drag Racing on Woodward Friday night.

I guess the Birmingham PD have a Black 2000 or so Vette. The guy kept pulling up and floor it next to him. He wouldn't leave him alone, so finally my little cousin dropped it down into 2nd and stood on it.

Twenty seconds later he was being pulled over by a marked car. The Vette pulled into the parking lot behind the cop and the guy started talking to the cop.

My cousin went to get out of the car and the officer yelled to him over the PA "Stay in the car with your hands where I can see them" He told him to throw his keys on the ground. Then ordered him to step out of the car with his hands in the air. He frisked him all the while yelling at him for Drag Racing.

My cousin pleaded his case about how the UC was driving and the UC agreed that he was ****ing with him alittle. As they were both giving him a lecture about racing a White Ford GT,Viper and Supra went flying by.

The cop said you just lucked out and handed him his DL and Insurance. He said I've got 3 tickets to write instead of just one.

After that my cousin started to head home. The Vette pulled up next to him at a light. My cousin being a smart-*** rev'd his engine and asked if he wanted to race. The UC just shook his head and laughed.

The cop had the White GT pulled a few blocks up.

*Long story short*

Watch out for a Black Vette on Wooward

1. Traffic laws apply to police officers on and off duty just like any other citizen.
2. The only time they do not apply is, In case of emergencey WITH AT LEAST the flashers on...

but then again...

Its illegal to buy drugs and the cops trick drug dealers into selling to them for the same perpose...

And its not like its a bad thing... if you are gonna street race then you may have to pay the price (whether it be a death, injury, money, jail time, etc)

And in the end... it comes down to your word vs. the cops word and you know who's word they'll believe...

Don't street race... If you are gonna... then don't do it wheres theres lots of people OR at a place notorious for it...
