Looks fun. We have quite a few members here with the weapon hobby and pictures are scattered all over. I should start a thread so we can see what everyones got.

None, it is a semi-automatic rifle. The Clinton "assault" weapons ban expired.

another reason to be sure not to let the democrats get control of congress and the white house. Don't need another one of those stupid bans.

That's a S&W sigma that I picked up for $200 from a friend.

The AR is costing me around $730 with accessories like the case and 2 mags. It would have been $100 less if I would have gone with the A2 upper instead of the A3, but I like the flat top and having the ability to easily mount some optics.

I'm sure you can have one, I don't know if you can buy it until you are 21 though.

Looks like a S&W 40 to me.

Nice kit mach but, a standard AR-15/ M4 fore-end and front site would look alot cleaner IMO, that thing looks like a flashlight tube, lol

Czech M-48 mauser (k-98 copy but /w straight bolt handle) and Ruger 10/22.

Planning on buying a Rock River Arms Entry Tactical (pre-ban) once I get some work done on the mustang.

I could stare at that pic for days...

That's what I was thinking, but hey what ever floats your boat.....Lizard, you have to remember us California people (I think your from Cali) have a completely different way of thinking then the rest of the country. I'm fairly liberal and grew up with hunting and target shooting....and support the 2nd ammendment, but the only people that need assault rifles are cops and military people.....in my opinion.

People like to blame guns for problems instead of solving real problems.

Just look at situations such as Katrina with looters and such. Police actually confiscated peoples' guns, leaving them unable to defend themselves and their property from looters.

Cops can't be everywhere and I would much rather have one come in response to me defending myself, then one comming in response to me being assaulted.

It is far better to have a gun and never need it then to need one and not have it.

"assault weapons" like my AR15 are just semi-automatic rifles. the term was created by anti-gun activists to instill fear in people. It is a very slippery slope when you start giving up your rights. Look at countries like the UK. They are no longer allowed to have any guns. You start banning certain guns and you open the door for all firearms to be banned.

If you limit having guns to cops and military then you really handicap yourself in a defensive situation.

ha ha ha. not a typical one that's for sure....well, I'm not a diehard liberal like most in the SF Bay....I have some stuff I'm conservative about and some stuff I'm liberal about.

I grew up around weapons my whole life. You tree huggers that are against weapons only tend to see the 5% of the bad side, instead of the 95% of the positive side.

And look what happened in the UK when they banned firearms...their violent crime rate doubled in four years :bash:

I would rather not live in a society where the only people who have firearms are the cops AND the criminals

Not a tree hugger and don't mind people having guns at all, but please explain the "positive side" of people having assault rifles??

first off...

Its a semi auto rifle... just like a hunting rifle... the only difference is that it looks cool...

I don't understand the assult rifle name at all...

A PISTOL is more dangerous because it is easy to conceal... no go yell at jon... lol...

A gun like this is fun to toy around w/ for recreational use... i.e. target shooting... go out and shoot a rifle and tell me that it wasn't any fun...

It can be used for self defense but that is unlikely...

the point i am trying to make is that there is absolutly nothing dangerous about this gun...

its just a cool looking rifle and nothing more...

hell... If someone came to my house with one of these I'd laugh and pull the 12 gauge...

there are worse guns to be afraid of then this

Good points.....When I was growing up I had a Ruger 10-22 and had one of those banana clips that held like 50 rounds.....man I used to light squirrels up! ha ha ha ha.....see I told you I wasn't a tree hugger.

Thats where I am lost... people say ASSULT RIFLES WERE MADE BY SATAN HIMSELF...

where...

The remington semi auto shotgun I use for deer hunting would blow a hole in an elephants ***... and they make big huge clips for shotguns...

Why are they sooo worried about ARs? they are not the same thing that the military uses...
