Had I lived in new orleans during katrina I'd have had several weapons ready to go in case some punk tried to get into my home.

There are situations where the moral fabric of society breaks down and you need to be able to defend yourself. Luckily I'm in an area where people are unlikely to turn on eachother, but you never really know.

It is very unlikely that something like this will happen where I live, but if it does, I'm not going to be one of the ones who regrets not being prepared for it.

Probably only 20% of people who buy firearms actually buy them with "Self defense" in their minds. Owning/shooting/collecting firearms is a hobby, just like driving and working on mustangs.

 

I understand the name completely. It is just a way for anti-gun zealots to scare people into thinking that these guns are worse then others and therefor they should be banned.

They will do anything to ban all guns eventually and banning a particular style of gun is just a step in that direction.

 

I kinda want to put a pistol grip on my 870. I think that would make it much more comfortable to carry around through heavy brush.

 

Very comfy and very easy to carry through anything.

 

plus it will keep my nice looking wood stock in good condition
