You all are going to really hate me now...
If you didn't hate me before for getting a Trans Am then you will after this weekend. As of tomorrow the Trans Am is no longer mine. I've been looking at other options for cars in the $15G area lately and I know I can't get another muscle car because I'm probably about to get SEVERELY RAPED in court with tickets for dumb stuff. I originally was going to get a Civic and do a built GSR swap with a nice turbo but my love for Volkswagens just overpowered that temptation. I started to look at mk4 VW GTI's with the 24V VR6 and 6spd and I actually found one at my local dealer for $15,000 and test drove it and all. Really liked the car, comes with Recaro racing seats and a nice system in it stock that is equivalent to the Mach1000 system in mustangs. They offered me a 2 year/24,000mi warranty since they certified pre-owned the car and stuff but later that day I came home and posted on the local VW forum and turns out that the car actually came into the dealership wrecked and I don't know about you guys but I'm not going to pay $15,000 for a wrecked car.
So at this point I'm clueless so I just hop on Autotrader and I start looking around and low and behold there I found a SRT-4 in my price range. It's like right up the road from and all so I don't have to drive to PA to pick up a freaking car. The owner is actually out of town right now but I'm going to meet him Saturday and go over the car and such. Some of you might enjoy this point and some might not, but I'll be joining the YELLOW Club. Car only has 35,600 miles on it and is completely stock. Adult owned, and the carfax ran completely clean. Like it or not, I'm actually excited about this because I need something like this and they are hella easy to upgrade.
Sorry to all...

I can understand trading a mustang on a T/A but trading a T/A on an SRT-4? What could you just not afford the T/A, did you wreck it, what?
I like the SRT-4s, they are good performance/$$ but unless you need it fwd sucks.

I thought the whole reason you were getting rid of the TransAm was because of your love for the Mustang and how much you missed it so? I have a feeling you are gonna get this SRT and still end up missing your Mustang and end up wanting to get rid of this thing soon also. And how is getting a SRT gonna stop you from getting tickets because you had a muscle car? But good luck on the car..I just have a feeling we will see you back again saying you want a Mustang.

I thought that the srt-4 was AWD, anyway I like them they are the best sounding ricer out there, but when it comes down to it you are going to miss the feel, look and sound of a mustang. everytime you see a mustang go by you will want to cry. THE MUSTANG OWNS THE SRT-4! its that simple.

There is a purple Neon "Extreme" over here in my friend's neighborhood with the 10" thick muffler sticking about 3" from the rear bumper. Every time I see it I want to go rip the damned thing off. Ugly little cars..and when people rice em out it just gets uglier
