Default I think I have... a syndrome...

I keep getting more and more pissed off when I see all of these ricers! I am driving an '00 Bonneville SSEI (supecharged) - which smokes rice, obviously, and is a blast to drive - but every single time, I just cant wait to get a mustang! It's an automatic, which is the only tranny option, and which is why I am getting a 5spd gt. But I cant take it any longer, I need a stang! I am only 17 (18 in november) - being under my dads insurance and all, am I too young to get a 99-01 gt?

You bring up a good point... hmm... but this is the forum I mainly browse around, so it didnt even cross my mind.

With that said, what do you guys think of this - the dealership is literally a mile from my house.

naw man your not to young. Im only 16 and I have a 2003 GT. insurance is a bitch tho.. and im guessing if you get tickets like i have your dad will make you pay the increase so be careful and if u drive fast invest in a radar.

Hey man, here's a few things to consider when looking to buy a GT:

1. Try to get an 01 or newer, for several reasons but most importantly because you'll get a T3650 instead of a T45 transmission (except on a few early 2001's so be sure to check the VIN before buying).

2. Don't buy anything above 50K miles.

3. Don't spend more than 12K for a GT.

4. Don't buy a GT with a tan interior, you'll wind up wanting to paint it black. Better to just get black to start with IMO.

5. The most important thing I can tell you is not to get all excited and rush into buying the first one you find. Take your time, if it's not EXACTLY what you want, don't buy it. Good things are worth waiting for, and you'll only wish you had waited later on if you buy something you only half-liked to start with.

Good luck with your search.

That is EXACTLY what I am looking for. The one I posted has tan interior, and for some reason, black leather is so much more bad ***. Thanks for the help guys.

I also found a Bullit for $12995 - with only 28k miles. I am really interested, but is this too low for a good bullit, is there most likely something wrong with it, or is it just a pretty good deal.

Wow, awesome. Were there any mods or anything done to it? Usually cars that have been modded go for less. But thats an awesome deal you took advantage of.

ya there is nothing wrong with a tan interior...although black looks better but there is the fact that the tan will be cooler in the summer than the black
