I have SLP LT, or x-pipe and loud1, just put your windows up, crank up the stereo and it's not so loud. Really if you keep your shifts under 2k-2.5k it's not bad. But that's no fun. I've thought about LM2s also, my neighborhood is full of old people! I'm the "loud guy down the street". If I wasn't a "nice" guy and a police officer, they would have thrown me out by now. My wife keeps the peace here anyway.(she made me say that)

Yep, thats the best way. I listened to someone elses advice and regretted it. Have a friend(that knows how to drive)take a spin around the block and tell them to romp on it a bit.

Speaking of too loud exhausts... i was in the mall parking garage the other day sitting by my car talking to stang00 when two R1's start up about 30 feet from us, both with insane exhausts, one revs it (god knows prolly past 10K) and it was ear splitting... insanely loud, not deep at all but like a dentist drill, lol
My current exhaust (Magnaflow, not magnapacks though) is quiter inside my car than my MAC V6 dualies were, but apparently from the outside its much louder... i drove behind my dad one time after picking up our buick rendezvous from the shop and it was real lou,d and he barely gives it any gas unless he is messing around...

I think SLP with stock headers are just ok, with LT's they really make it sound like a greaaat exhaust. With out LT's, they're just loud, with LT's they add a depth and tone to the exhaust, and still is loud.

I have the same thing that I feel my car isn't too loud from the inside, but I know on the outside it's rediculous. Just listen to it going under a bridge or tunnel.

it's just.... loud, lol. No other way to describe it. If you simply want to be loud, than LM1 is perfect.

40thblckgt and I have the same set up.

Like Justin99gtconv said, SLP sounds kinda bad with out LT's IMO. The LT's add a great tone to it.

the catted X-pipe will help with the raspiness. It's when you throw in the O/R X with the LM1 that it is simply LOUD
