Ive been toying around with the idea of re-doing my stripes in a DSG or similar color.
Dannyb was kind enough to make a couple quick chops for me.

What do ya think?

EDIT messed up the stinkin poll. bear with me.

OPT 1, im kinda digging this color the best.

OPT 2, or there is this. Just a bit darker than how it is now.

also, yeah i dig stripes. I dont know if i would have origionally done them, but i diddnt like the half assed 40th ann package stripes. Once i took em off there was a subtle difference in paint color. So no stripes is not too much of an option unless i want people seeing a slight difference in color, or repaint.

take the stripes off....decals are for ricers

but if you INSIST on having stripes...keep the color u have..it looks good...for vinyl

LOL. I did take the stripes off. the stock ones. and the paint was darker where the stripes were at. thats one of the main reasons i put these new ones on.
i checked around for paint first. quoted some crap like 1,400 for it OVER the clearcoat.

thats just too much damn money.

lol at least you were not quoted 400 to repaint my driverside door and then another 300 or so to blend it in with the fenders...wow

dude, dont take the stripes off. Your car color/style combo works PERFECTLY with the stripes. It's hard to pull off silver stripes and you have.

Man Your car would look badaass with some Red rally stripes and some red letter inserts. Saw a black convertable the other day. It was beautiful.. Really stands out more than you would think.. Just MHO..

Thats what im saying. It wouldnt be so flashy, but i think it would be a wicked combo. problem is i cant find DSG, thats a ford color. so i would have to go with dark grey or a similar color. I think Charcoal Metallic #19 on the color selection beloww would look sick.

I think im gonna order that DSG-like kit, charcoal metallic, #19 on that list of colors.

Put it on the car and see what i think. It would be a real pain in the ***, but there are some certain themes you always see and some you dont. If i get it and i dont like it, well, then im out a couple bucks. no biggie.

The black and silver looks good, but i would like to find something else that looks good that nobody has. Charcoal metallic might be exactly what im looking for. a bit more subtle too.
or i could go with COPPER. lol.
that'd be interesting to see. lol.
