I don't have much time to read all the post's but, What kinda job is this? Internship, serving?? 10 bucks an hour is not bad for most people these days. But I thought you were going for a computer tech type job.. Anyway GL little bro, You seem motivated enough to do what you must to achieve..

This is just an internship. My aunt is a director for a big pharmaceutical company and helped get me this spot in the information technology area. I'm majoring in engineering, so when I graduate, I'll be makin a hella more than $10/hr but considering many internships are done for free, I'm lucky as crap to get paid to do it. I'm headin off right now to go.

Congrats. The great thing with internships is that most new hires are picked from internships, so its another foot in the door.

I was excited about that, but my aunt is a supervisor over a big portion of the company and it'd be a conflict of interest so I'd likely ont be able ot get a real job there.

As for the interview, it went well. Being that I'm the director's nephew, they were all nice to me, pretty nice people. My main worry is that I'd not be able to do the job needed. But I went and peed in a cup afterwards and apparently they want me some time next week. It'll be dealing with the security and user access levels or something. When I start, I'll update.

And I'm going for computer engineering

At least it's not FORTRAN. I think NCSU still requires a class in FORTRAN for just about any engineering degree. Looks like I need to go find an old TRS-80 that still works by some miracle since I'm going for Materials Engineering.

Good deal danny, You'll probably be the one who activates and deactivates access badges. It's all done by computer. You'll have the inside scoop on who gets fired and not allowed back in.. They may also use you to be there when they fire someone. (security).. GL, whatever they got ya doing.

actually that sounds alot like what he said. Like when someone is hired, they get a certain amount of access and I create theur account and set their access level and same w/ when they change departments, i add or delete priveliges. It's network/information/computer type work so it'll be good for me. I should be starting some time early this week!
