My friend bought a brand new lexus is 250 yesterday with all the options! As you know these semi high priced luxury cars are know for their HID lights! Well he drives it home yesterday afternoon only to find out he didn't have the hid option! not was he told of this option! If it was someone like myself buying a car like this i would assume that the hid package is already included with this car. But now....what can he do now? The sales guy he bought it from is off today and we called parts only for them to tell us that they don't sell the hid lights......wtf!! Anybody have some insights on what he can do??

So wait, did the salesman sell the car as having them? Or did your friend just neglect to look into it? My opinion, if he just didnt check, theres nothing he can do other than buy the lights himself ($$$) if the salesman told him they came with HID's, then he can make the dealership take the car back I guess...

 

I guess he neglected to ask...but hell, it would have been a good thing if the salesman had said, hey this car doesn't have the hid package would you like to add it! My friend thought the car would come with them as the car was pretty pricey!!!...hes pissed as fawk and the salesmans is off today...rofl..

 

IMO all your friend's fault for not checking into it.

 

Normally if its brand new and the customer doesnt like it you can take it back within 3 days...at least thats how it is in PA.

 

Yea, his fault IMO, but he could try and see what the dealer says. He now knows what assuming does though...

 

I guess its his fault...but what about the god damn salesman. Hell, if i was salesguy i'd offer my customers all the goodies that can come with the car......extremely gay....now i know where to never buy a lexus!
