thats pretty funny, i was there to pick up a car for my gf brother ( iwas the only one who knew how to drive manual) on 8 mile rd, what a crappy place i'll tell you i swear every person there was giving me a look.

But anyways the rapper "Proof" was shot and killed in detroit last night! thats crazy

 

I think it used to be D.C and then New Orleans for a while, but Detriot is in the top five and I'm proud to say that Oakland, CA has now doubled the # number of murders compared to this time last year.....every freaking morning I turn on the news someone was shot in Oakland....great, I have to go there every damn day. I need to start carrying a camera cause you'd die on some of the "G'd" out rides I see....including Mustangs... :surrender

Yeah, thats real tragic. He was the most talented out of the group. I met him before at St. Andrews before. Bizarre and Obie Trice was cool but the rest of them acted like they were too good to mingle with the crowd.

 

Crazy....i just saw him at the Dilated Peoples concert in Phx 2 weeks ago. He just showed up and was on stage hangin out with DP and Little Brother. Crazy. And i agree, he was the most talented.

I used to live in San Rafael so I know what you mean about Oakland.It's like a whole other world once you cross the bridge!!

When I joined the Army that is where the MEPS center is.They told everyone to not leave the building for fear of someone getting shot!!

The sign is sad but true. I am a Detroit 24+ year vet (yes I do compare it to surviving a war) that has seen some of the most shocking things anywhere. I've been shot at, had 2 attempted carjackings, and have been robbed at gunpoint while walking home from school, and seen more shootouts than I care to talk about. There is a saying that in Detroit, people shoot first, and ask questions never. It was a relief moving to Florida for a few years. It tickled me when I read that sign in the newspaper a couple days ago.

I lived between Fenkell and Schoolcraft for 19 years and went to Murray-Wright (Murder-Wright) high school.

 

IDK, but I know here in Dayton, OH we are in the top 5 of the country for highest murder rates AND worst public schooling, lmao!:helpsmili

 

I think youngstown is up there too in the murder rates...well I just go to school and I get the hell out of there
