I read a huge update on this, I think the FULL story is on wreckedexotics.com
Acoording to it, What really made him get caught was that both his enzo's and his wife's SLR had euro tags, and he would drive around the US with euro tags, and really thats the reason why he got caught, they ran the plates and found out the cars were wanted in europe.
