well..apparently i have not been riding on the recomended 44 PSI for the stock gatorback tires...my friend pointed it out to me when we were foolin w/ his car....so i grab my Air Guage and check each tire.....i would have thought that it would ahve been 1 tire..but nooooooooo.....all 4 tires were down to 25-28 psi!!!...to top that off....i need a new front driver's side tire cause it is almost bald on the outer edge....

the only good thing is that i am gonna get new rims soon instead of getting new tires for these rims....hehehe

you should be checking tire pressure at least once a month. tires expand and contract becuase of that the air condenses so you loose pressure. your tire wore on the outside edge because of low pressure or a bad wheel alignment.

edit im overkill thanks to the air force. everytime i drive a military truck i have to check a lot of ****.

 

I had a nail in my tire down in Ft. Lauderdale, I got up to Orlando and realize what had suspected... my tire pressure was down to 13-15...psi, i fill that sob up and some how made it home... so pissed though, these tires are like 6 months old wtf?!...

 

i had checked the tire pressure just last week...i found out about the low pressure yesterday....and i know that some kids at school were around my car according to my friend but he said that it didnt look like had done anything to it...now im all pissed off....:wallbash:

My Goodyear eagles get low about every month or so. and it's usually all 4 too. I guess laying 50 ft black marks don't help... lol

 

Two things are going to happen if you run 44 psi in your tires. 1) Your car is going to ride like a lumber wagon. 2) The tires will wear in the center due to over inflation.

The number printed on the tire is the maximum pressure the tire can take, not the recommended tire pressure. Most tire shops will recommend 32-36 psi for the best combination of ride, handling and wear.

The outside edge wear is alignment related. When you get your new tires and wheels, make sure you spend an extra $50 and get a "thrust alignment". That will get your front wheels in line with the rear axle.

 

Thsi sticker on your door sill will tell you the recomended PSI. I think it's like 33 for the front and 32 for the back or vice-versa?

 

im getting my whole suspension done hopefully when i get my new rims...so ill need an alinement anyways
