Default Opinions on special ED stangs

Its been brought up so let have a vote and see what we get https://mustangboards.com/pictures/1...mach-ever.html . Would you change the styling on a Mach 1, Cobra , Bullitt or any other limited ed Stang or just keep it original and concentrate on HP buy adding go fast parts, suspension and possibly wheels.

I voted to do power wheels and suspension, just because I had the same problem with my car. Being a LE, I didnt want to hack the thing up, so the only exterior mods are a grill delete and chin spoiler. I still have the original wheels in the garage, and all the stock parts. I say a regular cobra, go at it, but if its a 10th Ann., leave it be outside. Bullitt...who the hell would mess with the good looks its already got going, and same for a mach, other than a cobra front bumper, cause that just looks mean as hell.

Yeah, I would just mess with the power...because I dont think anyone here can say they have enough horsepower! Hell everyone always wants more!

As for my car, it's not a LE 35th, but I am getting all the parts that the LE's came with. Paperwork wise it won't be a LE, but looks wise it will.

I've always loved the Mach's.. the looks are great, most everyone here has the Chin spoiler and delete up front if not a body kit...

neone remember the yellow mach a year ago in MMFF that had a 1000hp TT set up and looked stock...

I picked everything is fair game. I have a mach and I took off the rear spoiler of mine and going to put an 03 cobra spoiler on it. I also want to put a cobra bumper on too. Other than that, just performance and suspension mods.

I look at it this way.No way are the "New" SE's going to be worth as much as the classics are.Too many of them and not made too last as were the 60's vehicles.

I say make it your own and have fun with it!!

It depends on what you call "Special Edition" Mustangs. In my mind there's nothing too special about a 35th or 40th Ann. Mustang. Mod them all you want. Mach 1's are far more SE than those however, and therefore should mostly have only performance mods done to them. A few appearance things are fine, like a Cobra front. But please keep the factory rims, they're so badass! Bullitt's are the most sacred because they are the rarest and the sweetest. The only thing you're allowed to do to a Bullitt is get 18" Anthracite Bullitt's with DD in the rear and get either a sweet sounding cam or a discreet KB. But that's it. I never wanna see a Bullitt with a wing, stripes, foglights, or any rims other than anthracite Bullitt's.

But that's just me.

well I have a mach as some of you know as my first stang when I joined the board not too long ago. I have the feeling that I want to keep the look of the classic intact but want to put my own flare to it. I like the blue and black theme but know I want the vinyl, front, and rear to look different.

I already have changed the hood vinyl, rear honeycomb, purchasing foose wheels and springs now. The front bumper will be roush and leave the rest alone. I'll also keep the stock parts. I understand the argument and agree kinda but want my own flare too

I like your thinking those foose wheels are going to be badass

I think the Bullit and Mach should be left alone apperance wise. But anything else is fair game.

i dont care if i have a gt, cobra or mach, im still going to do whatever i want with the car. your car is a personal representation of yourself and i am definitely not a stock person. i wont go overboard with any car but i will customize it until im satisfied with it. no stock car would do for me unless it was a beater cuz who cares about a beater...
