man I really hate my job, it use to be so cool but in the past couple months it has sucked soooo much ***. i swear im so glad there's the internet cuz it keeps me from having to shop at some of these unethical retailers. the things they do just **** me off.. tell the customer we're non commission so they feel more comfortable, but we're still gonna push everything we ****ing can on you cuz it makes us look better to our managers and gets us promotions. yeah i've been at the same place for about 1 3/4 of a year and I've probably hated it the past 6 months - year. plus I HATE the customers here. I dunno if it's like this everywhere else, but they're all stupid as **** redneck's who you can't explain anything to. and i mean im not talking at a very high technical level at all. definately going job hunting this summer. just worried i won't be able to find a job that pays as well and has as much security around here

Christie... I worked grocery, then retail, then food services.
I started as host, then busser, and then server at a mexican restaurant.
Now I'm a server at a very nice steakhouse about 10 min from where I live. Job security is never a question and resturant hours are perfect. get there at 5, leave at 10 with $100 cash in your pocket. I'm telling you, while working hourly somewhere fun may be great and all, even though youre not guaranteed any money as a server, if you're good, you'll get rewarded.
I will never be anything else besides a server until I graduate college and get into computer engineering. The money I make is phenominal and I work maybe 30 hours at most in a week and still have plenty of time to study, relax, or whatever else I need.

No I hate David Hasselhoff with a passion. I had someone put a picture of him on my desk one day and I got p*****. Next day I had a pic of Pamela Lee Anderson on my walland i've been happy camper ever since.

I hate my job but at least it's only temporary until I graduate school or until I get an internship in Germany next year maybe. I've been working at my uncles hardware store for about 3 years now whenever I am home on breaks and such. When I started back in high school I didn't mind the job and they were pretty leniant with me. Now not so much though. I really hate customers, they are such jerks. And also now since I am the family I am almost like the whipping boy. Oh got a job nobody wants. Yeah give it to Brod. Sigh oh well. I've been wanting to leave for a while but I make better money than I would starting anywhere else so I'm kinda stuck.

Well, to brighten the thread up, I love my job. Its perfect for a college student. My major is Civil Engineering, and I work WITH CIVIL ENGINEERS. I do autocad work and send out plans/make copies when needed. Its great pay, its experience in my major, and the people and hours kick ***. I have a parking spot, and my job is RIGHT ON CAMPUS. I literally drive to work, and leave work when I have class, go right back to work. Its amazing, and I lucked up BIG TIME. Even have my own office and interweb, which is bad lol.

I hate and love my job at the same time. It's easy as **** what I do (90% of the time play on the internet for 8 hours). But at the same time, we haven't had a raise in 3 years. I am seriously considering a career change.
I have an application in right now with a company called Varian, they install Cancer treatment equipment in hospitals. It's a travel job, but at the same time it will more than double my salary if I get it. I have a good friend that is trying to get me in (pretty good chance of getting it according to him). And another great part about this job, the first 8 weeks are training are all expenses paid in VEGAS!!!!!
But if that don't go through, I am thinking about going into Real Estate.

I love my current job. I work outside at a golf course. I've been there for 5 years and only a freshman in college. I make a good pay wage plus tips.
I'm going to be starting a co-op in fall to become a Master Techician, I'm stoked about that. The campus is kick *** and a sweet state of the art facility. It's an 80 week program but should be awesome.

well im still in college for computer networking, and i won't quit my job cuz it'll look good on my resume.. better than working at some local pos shop that nobodies heard of. plus they pay me more than a local shop would. as far as networking jobs go around here.. there's not many at all, and they're mostly for local shops, but I think I might try for one this summer anyways when I take my certs

I have no complaints about my job. They treat me like an adult, i dont have to ask for break, i can take a break whenever i want as often as i want. I love the hours, i work with an excellent group of people, they pay me a buttload of money, give me respect, and i have a bitchin benefits package with a pretty wicked 401.
Dont get me wrong, there are other things i would rather do, unfortunatly they dont pay nearly as much.

I LOVE my job!
I'm the CIO (Chief Information Officer)/Network Administrator for a mid-sized real estate development company. We have offices in Tucson, Phoenix, Vegas (WOOT!), and Seattle.
I get to travel, play with computers, and spend the company's $$$!! (Just spent $45K on equipment for the Vegas and Seattle offices....
..all this, and I make almost six figures a year...
