Default Anybody running synthetic in their TR-3650...

Ever since I bought the ol' stang the shifting seemed kinda notchy and hard at time! I'm running a pro5.0 and I've read that running synthetic oil might help my problem. Do any of you guys run synthetic oil on your trannys? I've heard good things about royal purple and Redline D4....what do you guys suggest?

one thing i noticed right away is that when i installed my shifter, shifting became a bit notchy. it was never that way with the stocker.

as for synthetic gear oils, i use redline MTL in my other ford and royal purple in my mazda. both work fine.

No..I read that you could only have it done if you still had the factory warranty! I only read about the tsb after I had like 42k miles....... :violent1: ...

Default transmission tsb

I work at a Ford dealership and if you bought the car new and the transmission has all stock parts still on it the dealership from which you bought it can still provide you with after warrenty assistance under a po5 or p07 coverage at most you might have to pay 20% for customer participation.
They can still help you but you need to take it to the dealership you bought it from or they dont have to help you and probably wont if you didnt buy it from them.

you would have to pay for some or all of it like he said. my dealership will not pay for it if you have more than 36k miles.

And the TSB for the 3650 trasnny fixes the grinding and harshness the tremec has when its cold. they replace some syncro's shift forks and other stuff. its free and will stop the weird nosies the tranny has. plus its a good time to learn to powershift your car as you get a free rebuild form ford. just dont tell them i said that.
