Whatever flash you decide to go with, look on Ebay. With how the economy is, there are some killer deals and free shipping on everything. Like I said before about the XSi that should be showing up either tonight or tomorrow is that I got it, the two lenses, a WA and telephoto adapter lenses all for under the price that Canon charges. And it's brand new. The Ebay store I bought it from buys in bulk and get's the cameras for about half of the price, so they sell them cheaper....just something to look into.

Yeah, I just looked into getting an SB-600. I'll probably try and buy it used. My 55-200mm VR lens comes in tomorrow! I'm so damn excited.

So the XSi just showed up, I'm loving it. I also got a 58mm polarized filter along with a UV and a florescent light filter...I also have a macro attachment that came with the wide angle and a 2x telephoto lense....I'll get some pics up when I get some taken.

Sweet on the new gear guys!
My Manfrotto Tripod should be delivered tomorrow along with the Hakuba bag, unfortunatly the ball-head was shipped later and wont be here untill next week.
Switch, the SB-600 does wonders! it is a massive improvement over the onboard flash. If you get one, be sure to get the SC-29 off-camera cable.

Okay, so I don't have any photos to share tonight like I said I would. I'm doing this online photography class on
http://www.digital-slr-guide.com/
and it's awesome...I've just been too busy doing the exercises on there than actually taking photos to take photos.

My F-ing pictures are still turning out like crap! I'm doing those online lessons like I said earlier, but damn! It's not working. I went out and took a few photos, using all of the metering, iso, shutter speed, aperture, etc lessons and still parts of my pictures are over exposed while others are under-exposed and the colors are still shi--y.
If I took the same picture as you, Switch (the one with the dog), mine will turn out with the center of the dog being dark as if in the shade, the glow around the dog would bleed in white, and the background would either be black or white. I'm pissed that I can't figure this shi- out.

This is the one picture I've taken that turned out somewhat how I wanted it to. Taken at Flatirons in Westminster.

Here's a couple. Nothing exciting, just a couple of shots without the front plate holder. I had to drain the color from the first one a bit because it was borderline overpowering.
