Default Shiftlights / Tach Adapters

Alright.. so now I'm back to figuring out how to get a shiftlight to work on my car. I'm thinking about switching over to maybe an Autometer shiftlight. Anybody have one of these and know how they hook up? I see autometer makes tach adapters.. I wonder if one of those would get rid of my issue.

(btw my issue is I had a Raptor Shiftlight and when it was hooked up to the car it could cause the SES light to come up with the code P1233.. which meant the fuel pump was disabled but the car ran fine)

FRPP has a tach adapter that you just plug in and splice off of that. Use that instead of running into oem wiring.

Yes the Raptor Shiftlight was hooked up right.. it worked fine just caused the SES light.. and I double checked it at least 3 times to see if it was hooked up right. I dunno what I'm gonna do.. I'm thinking about getting ANOTHER freaking Raptor Shiftlight and trying something different with it

I read several threads on other forums with the same symptoms (fuel pump inop.) I just installed a Raptor and have no such problems.
I'm wondering if using the crimp on connectors are causing a higher resistance in the circuit and lighting a CEL?I soldered all my connections because of this predicament and got no CEL's.
The small size and self contained electronics of the Raptor was the reason for buying.

I tried different kinda crimp on connectors.. but I don't see why it would cause a problem in my car and nobody else.. since that's how Raptor themselves installed theirs /shrug

im buying another one.. installing it the same way but with a different 12v source and then getting it tuned 2 weeks after that.. so if the light is still on i'll have my tuner look at it

I have the MSD Tach adapter and a Autometer shift light. They both work great. The light is so damn bright at nighttime though and if u put the cover on, its just so dim.

I just got all MSD so the instructions would work together.
