Neg, 98 GT has the T-45 Tranny. There is a possibility that it will fit though.

didn't want to start a thread about this but i was wonderin what kinda of tranny my 5 speed 98 gt has?
A t5/t45 shifter will fit your trans...

i know i sent three guys a pm and 2 of them didn't know so i thought i would start 1 because they didn't know either.

no cause my brother has it in his camero and it is sooo smooth and short. it is like half the distance mine is now. and how do you know it is longer

ouch, I wouldnt have gotten that one. Just because its nice in a camero, doesnt mean its as good for a mustang. Hope it works out well for you though. The steeda one that I had was Flippen awesome.
