Default grill nut size

Hey what size nuts are used in the 4 fasteners that hold the factory grill on at the bottom. I read on a website that a 1/4" works, but I swear the nuts dont fit any of my wrenches. What size have you all used? Thanks

Yep it's metric alright. Too much metric crap going on American cars. Was looking at installing a 5.0 shifter and all the bolts and nuts are metric. No problem I have the tools, I'm just standard size oriented. They didn't teach that crap when I went to school.
