or an alternator. Get a parts place(autozone or pepboys) to check out the power in both.

That definitely sounds like a dead alternator, but you're gonna need a new one of those and a new battery too.

Wouldn't the car die after being jumpstarted if it was a dead alternator?

Its a good chunk of change.......its about $130 for a Palladium at Advanced auto. If your cheap like I am down the road there is about 4 junk yards and i'd just pull one off there or they already have it pulled off. Your in my area so just check out the ones on SR50/E Colonial

The purpose of a alternator is to recharge your cars battery as it is on.....If you get a new battery it will do what it needs to for a certain amount of time but with no charge you have another dead Batt on your hands.........The fact that your radio and stuff has issues sometimes the alternator is to blame

Edit a matter a fact there is a guy on Fuelslut.net who can give you a hookup on a interstate battery and i'm sure he can give you a good price on a alternator. And if it didnt get better than that he's in Orlando....SO go to Fuelslut.net check out the classifieds and theres a sticky on Interstate Batteries

I wouldnt wait on something like that....Just spend the dough and be on with it...no point in drying out another battery

Well if youve got the money or not. you have no car if its not replaced. You are in the position where you have to replace it or you arent driving it.
