my friend drives some saab? ha and he keeps talkin bout how loud his blow off vlave is and how much hp it gives him, i thought bovs dont really do anything but make a noise lol any clarification would be appreciated

 

Bov do not add hp, they just vent air...

 

They dont give any extra hp...he's full of it.....it just releases the pressure better and faster. For example if he ups the boost on his car it is "safer" and more "benficial" for the engine to release the pressure faster a better BOV would so this. But other than that he just wants a louder sound coming from the turbo. Whoopy

 

well if it was leaking it would add hp lol.

 

Sounds like you could convince him to remount it straight out the back of the rear bumper/valance of his car..... Tell it will act like a jet engine assist... Bwaahhhhaaaaaaa

 

saabs are the worst cars currently being produced. you can just laugh at him for owning one. theres 2 good things on em, the valeo headlights if they are HID, and they use quality leather.

i had to drag 3 of em today at work with my beater. those Fing things never start so i just grabbed a towstrap. screw em

 

Just to add on to this why and gods name would you put a BOV onto a Saab they are not meant for racing and the engines are very fragile and easily breakable not to mention they arent cheap to fix. Tell your friend I wouldn't even try it he has a luxary car if he want to go faster in the future do it in something else.

 

yeah thats what i thought, hes jsut a *** and thinnks his car is the baddest thing around, your right its not a racing car, its a luxery car thanks for clearing that up!!

 

You should let him race it alot and when he blows the engine point and laugh at him.
