Alright i'm doing the brake caliper painting next week i'll taking the whole caliper off this time. Now i've bled brake before but I only know how to gravity bleed. Is there a better way? I'm not going to use speed bleeders those things are a waste IMO. So any tips or ideas let me know.

 

The absolute best way to bleed brakes is to use a pressure pot and bleed from the caliper to the master cylinder.As you know,bubbles tend to rise and bleeding this way allows them to flow out with the old fluid.The pressure method will also work.This uses two people,one to press the brake pedal and one to loosen and tighten the bleeder fitting.Have someone push the brake pedal and you loosen the bleed fitting.When the pedal goes to the floor hold it there and tighten the bleed fitting.Release the pedal and pump it a couple of times.If the pedal is released while the bleed fitting is loose it will draw air into the caliper and you get to start all over.Using a piece of clear vinyl hose over the bleed fitting keeps the brake fluid from getting all over everything and will allow you to see any bubbles that might be dislodged.

 

Good call that sounds better than gravity bleeding and cleaner. Same rule applies by bleeding the brakes from the furthest from the master cylinder to the closest....correct?
