Gears...
My stang isnt heavily modified and i dont really have a lot of money to put into it, but everyone tells me that gears would be the best mod to buy next. Are gears overrated or well worth the price of installation. Also I drive my stang pretty much every day to work or college, and was wondering if gears are better for mostly just racing.

gears will let the car have a better mechanical advantage thus helping it accelerate faster.
it sounds like you are not a full out drag racer and just drive it for fun with that said you would most likly want 3.73's or maybe 3.90's (which are right between the two).
ps where do you go to college UCF?

It all depends on a)what you have and b)what you plan on having. Allow me to explain....
basically, 3.73 is as low as you wanna go, and 4.10 is as high as you wanna go. 3.55's won't give you much of a difference since 3.27 is the stock ratio.
if you have an auto, go with 4.10's. Gears work harder since there are only 4 and not 5, higher gearing gives the full potential of the gears' ability to let loose. If you plan on getting a sc, it might be better to go with 3.90's to lower it a tad.
If you have manual, get 3.73s if you plan on getting a supercharger. If you dont plan on EVER getting one, just get the 4.10's for the max accel possible on an n/a engine.

Get the 3.90's. They are a great gear, and give you a huge difference in acceleration. I love my 3.73's, but wish I had gone higher. Had FRPP made the 3.90's, Id have gotten those, but I wanted to put a ford made gear in my car. Actually springs, my mileage went up, because I can now drive with the car in 5th gear and use it. So I get better mileage.

4.10s are slightly steeper than 3.90s. Either way you will be happy with 3.90s or 4.10s.
