how loud is the Roush exhaust compared to the slp exhaust

 

slp is the loudest exhaust you can get.
roush is pretty quiet compared to most of the others.

 

I dont think they're that quiet

even though they arent super loud they sound amazing

 

Well I worded that wrong. Its not a quiet setup, but its not as loud as most of the other aftermarket exhaust systems.

 

If you are referring to the standard side exhaust exhaust that comes on the car, they are very quiet. They are just a bit louder than stock. I just heard one the other day and was talking with the owner for quite some time. We were at a show.

If I had to rate on loudness:

Stock GT - 1
Roush - 2
Flowmaster American Thunder - 2
SLP Loudmouth Catback only - 5
SLP Loudmouth with catted X Pipe - 7
SLP Loudmouth with o/r x pipe - 10

Your moms mustang must be pretty loud with that exhaust shes got on there.

 

iight sounds good...i like the roush body kits an all and wanted to have the side exhaust along with it...but i want the sound of a pissed off car more...so no roush body kit for me!..unless theres a way to fit the slp to side exhaust style...anyone attempted it?

you could always do strait pipes from the headers to the roush side tips

Sure. I do not see why not. Anythng is possible. The roush exhaust goes through a muffler like anything else. I think it is just as simple and pulling off the muffler and replacing it with something else. Dig around. I am sure someone has done this.

 

mine are non existant, cus I havent been to the track..besides I dont wanna embarrass you..

so could i buy a roush side exhaust and just buy the Loudmouth I resonators? would that work w/ some fabrication?

I dont see why not.. i dont know too much about the roush exhaust but you should just be able to cut out the muffler and weld in the reson
