Smile Radio problem

I have a 98 mustang GT - Just in the last few days my radio is going out on me almost like it lost a signal and then when I turn my car off and restart the radio comes back on. Do you think it is a fuse that needs replacing or is my radio on its last leg?

Its a possibility that the internal amp in the radio is going bad. It will operate till it heats up and then it shuts down. It is a typical problem with all ford radios, the 6 disc changers seem to be worse though.
