Default Help me before it rains

Battery died, now driver-side window wont roll up all the way. Still goes up and down, just not all the way back up. I assume its because when the battery died it reset it or something like that. Do i just need to reset the battery and everything will be good or what? It would be pretty easy to jack my car right now... 2006 Mustang GT for those that care. Any help would be great guys thanks.

I've never heard of having to reset the windows or anything like that. I assume the windows worked fine before the battery died? What happened to cause the battery to die?

I would do a Google to see if someone else has had this problem.

It happened once before, but it seemed to just fix itself eventually. I dont know why it died actually, it just did. Now its jumped and working fine (for now), but it was a 100 dollar walmart battery and its been about a year, so its getting old.

That sounds like something in the track. When it gets warmer I would pull the door panel off and inspect and lube everything.

Thanks, its raining right now... WIN! I've always heard they only last about a year, do they really last that long? Also what would cause it to just randomly die, there was no electrical devices running or anything like that? Cold weather?

If your battery's dying that often, you might have a faulty alternator. Either that or you're leaving something on while the car's off.

I thought both of those. Nothing is on in the car. The alternator is ok 1. because its almost brand new. 2. When old alternator failed, it caused all electrical options in the car to malfunction (I.E. windows rolled up and down on their own, all cds came out [6], wipers turned on, and lights flashed. And lastly 3. because if the alternator was faulty the battery would STAY dead right? Ill try to start the car 3 times, starts off clicking then eventually nothing at all. But if i come back the next day, its got enough to try again. That wouldnt happen if alternator was faulty right?

Bit off-topic but for those that know, my car is an '03 with fairly low miles and I just started noticing that the battery indication is red. Still works fine, but I think it's on it's last legs. Not bad for being 8ish years old and not driven much.

I had a warranty for it since it was walmart battery, so i took it in and got a new one free. It was 2 months away from being 2 years old, and they said it was totally bad. So it was just battery...

yeah sounds like it had a bad cell, I had something similar to yours with the starting the next day ordeal, my battery had been totally dead... was thankful it wasnt the alternator though...

on a side note your car almost sounds like it was possessed from a alter life form, may want to keep a bottle of Holy Water and Crucifix near by in the glove box!
