70mm or 75mm TB?
I'm running a n/a '04 GT that i do not plan on supercharging. Should I go with the 70mm TB or will i see any difference in gain moving up to 75mm on n/a? Also need recommends on which you guys feel is the best TB.
I have K&N FIPK, C&L Plenum and very soon the SLP cat-back (just ordered from MT).

I just ordered a 75mm.TB and plenum combo from Accufab. They are quite a bit more expensive than other combinations but are polished from the factory. This will help out in car shows only,no advantage at the track.About S/C 'ing, never say never.

best combo u can buy for a n/a 4.6 motor is the accufab polished 75mm tb and their polished intake plenum.. showed the most gain of power throughout the power band..and like it has been said looks bad *** as well.. i don't know were u get this overkill stuff...

Well, as my wife will tell you, I CAN be wrong. I'm basing my comments from a conversation I had with a guy waiting in the staging lanes at my local drag strip this year. He was confident that he bought too much throttle body when he put on a 75mm Accufab on his basically stock 4.6. It kinda made sense to me, that with the restrictions in the valve train and all, that it was too much TB. But, obviously, the research doesn't bear out his experience. 75mm it is! :headbang:

I can attest that 75mm is too large for a moderately built 4.6. My motor is a little more than "moderately" built and the 75mm Ford Racing TB on my horse is still a little too big for normal driving around. Works fine under WOT though.

70 mm t-bodies work better than 75 mm on mildly modded GT's. Your low and midrange power will be better and the car will idle more smoothly. I am waiting untill I see some of these 4.6 intakes before I buy a plenum and t-body. Hopefully we will see them soon I am getting tired of waiting.
