Default Gen 5 Conversion NEED HELP

So I'm looking at how to convert a 4th generation mustang (1999-2004) to a 5th generation mustang (2005-current). I don't care about the performance, but I want to change the exterior and interior trim to match the 5th generation mustang. I found a kit: http://www.extremedimensions.com/11024.html but this does not include any rear modifications or lights. Is there anyway to convert the exterior and interior trim (such as the dashboard, gauges, etc.) to the 5th generation look? My search so far has only found the front conversion kit.

I am pretty sure there isnt one single member here that has done the conversion you are talking about.

I have only ever talked to ONE person that has done the conversion and they regretted every bit of it. If you want a '05+ go buy one, that's my $.02...

Don't **** up the wonderful world that is mustang by trying to convert a completely different chassis car into a newer model. There is not an interior conversion kit because it is a totally different car. And if you look at the exterior conversion it still looks retarded.

If you do this conversion, I hope I see your car in a parking lot somewhere so I can personally set it on fire as I jump up and down on the roof of it with steel spiked boots.

Just my $0.02. Nuff said.

apart from the good idea bad idea thing, it's just bloody expensive. You can literally pick up a used gt from 2005 and spend less money.

The dash won't fit the interior profile, it'd need a shitload of modification. The rear trim pieces would need significant frame and body alteration. The gauges and all the electronics are entirely new so you'd need to be an electrical engineer or put the 05 harness in the car too.

I'm not going to say it's a stupid idea but it's a poor use of money that won't even get you what you want. If you're a fabricator and not afraid of the work, grab 50,000 bucks and a torch and have at it... if not, grab a loan for 18000 and get a used 05 GT.

Buy a new mustang. they perform better as well. Especially if you have a 3.8 in your new edge.

i knew a guy a long time ago who wanted top put his late 70s camaro on a chevy 4x4 truck frame. that didn't make much since either and fortunately he was too poor to ever try it.

to convert a 99-04 to 05-09--find a good used car dealer and go trade it in, or sell it and find a good used one on your own.

if you want to ship your car/title/power of attorney to me i can do that conversion for say $3000

please don't do it, you will get lots of looks followed by lots of laughs. i would rather put a full saleen body kit on it. they look really good on the new edge. sometimes being original is just not worth it

Yeah.. haha it looks soo bad.. It doesnt even have the glasses for the headlights, they just stick out..

For the same price you could go with a full stage 3 roush and get it painted, or do a full saleen kit. SO I highly advise you avoid that.
