Default SS Brake line install

Anyone have any problems installing these? I just ask as when I installed my xpipe, everything I read was it was straightforward, turned out to be far from that (PITA passenger bolts, had to take to my mechanic to get them off). Anything to be aware of? I want to do it myself to save money. And yes, I've done mechanical work in the past so I'm comfortable with tools. Just need advice/words of wisdom-warning.
Thanks in advance

No its pretty much straightforward, only concern is getting the brakes blead completely. Just takes a little times.

Make sure you use new crush washers on the banjo bolts. Don't over torque them. Make sure no dirt is on the fittings at the end of the hard line on the car side of the deal.

and of course bleed the master cylinder FIRST, then furthest wheel from it, then work your way in.

From my experience, it's sometimes a little tough to get a good seal to the chassis mounted hard line. Make sure you use a correct wrench for working on hydraulic couplings (like an open end had babies with a box end and had a 75% box end bastard child.

Change your brake fluid while you're in there. It's just like bleeding but you keep bleeding until new fluid comes out of each hole. I like to use ATE Super Blue brake fluid for those things since it's really easy to tell when the new stuff is coming out, it's purple after all.

Good advice, but that raises another question. I've read elsewhere that when you bleed the master cylinder you need to reset the ABS (or something like unto that). This correct, or am I on the right track? or way off...

(PS thanks for the welcome, though I've been here years. My old login crapped out and didn't recognize my email for a new password so I just made a new profile).

There is no resetting of the ABS. Just bleed the master if you get air up there, then start bleeding the rest of them. I didn't have to much of a problem other then the J&M ones were to large for the factory hole and clip that is supposed to hold them and I had to mod them on both sides.

spike's right... no such thing as resetting. If you want to you can reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery ground for 10 mins but it's totally un-related to your upgrade.
