Default Throw out bearing

So I'm pretty sure the throw out bearing in the Mach 1 is on it's way out. It's had a mild chirp for a couple of months that silences when you push the clutch in and yesterday leaving work was the first time i noticed it was rolling backwards on a level surface as a put it in reverse but still had the clutch in. I put it in first to confirm it was the problem and sure enough it rolled forward.

So my question is, how much longer until it goes completely out? Also what's a price range I should expect to see? The clutch itself shouldn't need replaced. The car only has 25k and it has a Centerforce Dual Friction clutch which I would guess has less than 15k miles on it. clutch is still extremely stiff.

Also one more thing, who should I go to to have the bearing replaced. would any local shop be fine or does it require a more advanced mechanic?

There is no set time it could break tomorow.I had 5 miles on my spec supplyed TB and it cracked in 2. So the sooner the better.Im guessing its the centerforce supplyed TB and thats probably your issue.I would stick with a Ford OEM TB,And as far as getting it done i have no idea since i would just do it myself.

But if you have the money just take it to ford.If not ask around to see if you can get someone to do it at there house for a few bucks since its pretty easy to do.

mines been making noises ever since i got it about a year ago. i don't put that many miles on it but it has held up. i plan on doing it myself but i keep putting it off. any transmission shop will do it. you are going to pay out the rear for them to pull the tranny off. it's like a 30-50 dollar part and you will prob pay anywhere from 250-450 for someone to do it.

Deal with it. Will cost $400+ to repair from a standard shop. Just leave it be until you need more serious tran work. AND...you could replace it, only to have it chirp again.

+1 that is why i am putting mine off again and again. i have been going on mine for about a year. and i don't have the 400 bux to send it to the shop. i will be doing a split port swap later on which will require removing my headers anyway, so i will debate on taking off the midpipe and dropping the transmission then.

Yeah it's not too comforting driving when you know at anytime it could break and leave me immobile. I can also know the chirp has gotten a little bit louder recently.
Could it be just the TB going out and no problems with the clutch? Has pretty low mileage on it.

The rolling problem is probably the clutch being too loose. As for the TOB, I'd get it changed. Hard pedal effort is a symptom of it gone bad and if it's the same company makes it that makes Hay's (TIMKEN/Torrington), change ASAP before the bearing starts to cause release problems.
