Default What's This Called?

I don't have a picture right now, but I can get one tomarrow. I took my car through some curves and corners in the mountains, where I take my bike pretty much. I guess it was a little rough on my car.

The thing that broke is in pieaces and broken in multiple spots. I don't know how it's still on there. It's what holds the lights, I think it's called the housing maybe? Goes from one fender to the other fender. It's black and plastic of course. I suck at explaining.

1995 Ford Mustang GT 5.0

Edit: I feel dumb I believe it's called a Header Panel. My Mustang isn't an LX is it?
Will this work for my car? I don't know what it exactly looks like since I haven't taken mine apart yet and is that ag ood deal?

I'm not really qualified to give you an answer as to the technical name of that piece and/or how/if that may work for you...but I cannot resist asking what the hell you did to break that? It had to have taken more than a couple windy (whine-dee) roads to break that.

ya usually it only breaks in accidents....unless you have an aluminum frame which caused your whole car to **** itself...which you dont have one so ya its called a header panel and as long as its for your body style then ya go with it.

I forgot all about this. I just got my replacement today for it, but I wont install it for awhile because I need help finding out something else. :/

How I broke it? To be honest I have no idea, I took my car awhile back through some really really rough moutains (pretty much were us bikers take our bikes to have fun and touch the ground ect..). I'm guessing that my car didn't like it and just shadered, broke in multiple places. No, I've never been in a wreck in my life and it wasn't hit. It might have been hit before I bought the car, but I would have noticed it.

I only noticed it was odd because when we were going to go home from the skatepark (after the fun trip we did), I turned on my lights and you couldn't even see them in front of you, low or hi beams. Got home and saw it was a little broke, looked in the morning and it was really bad. I managed to fix it for the mean time.

Ps. The moutain drive was at least 5 hours or so.

Question: Since I got the parts, I need help finding out the name of the bolts/nuts that hold the lights into the panel. They come on the back of the head lights, they're silver with a black plastic pieace. I don't know how to explain it, but mine are messed up and I need new ones.

Apparently AM sells these now. I don't really know what you're talking about with the bolts, can you take a picture?

Yeah they do, I just looked, but they're over priced. I got mine for like $30. On AM it's $70.

I'll see what I can do to show you what I'm talking about. All I know is that it has a black plastic pieace that is the nut, you use pliers to push in the sides to take it out or something.

Well if nobody knows the answer to your question by tomorrow afternoon, I can just walk out to my car and look at it to figure out what you're talking about.

That is the headlight adjuster. If you can find some used headlights it should have them. Some aftermarket companies make them. If you know anybody taht works at a body shop or if there is a salvalge yard nearby, that may be the best bet.

Thanks. Isn't it also what holds the lights in place too?
