Im trying to buy these off a guy from craigslist for 75 bucks for both. Theyre flowmaster 40's.

He said when he got them cut off that the place cut it off too short, but they will still work fine. What do you think?

 

It's pretty hard to **** up mufflers without cutting into the chamber or something.

If they haven't been cut into and don't have puncture wounds or anything like that then sure go for it! You might need to repaint them unless you like the rusty look

Oh and don't be surprised if you have to have them welded onto the pipe

 

Id offer the guy 35 bucks for them...whoever cut them off, didnt leave much re-install room.

 

That will definately have to be welded. You ain't fitting any clamps around that.

well i bought them today, theyre super 40's. They are in a bit better condition than the picture suggests.
