Default Next on 1000 budget

I was wanting some input on next stage of the build...thanks for input on 125 shot, is working great. I have a 2000 mustang gt with 4.6 and 5 speed. Here is a list of mods on my car, hopefully i dont leave anything out: Engine-Nx express 125 shot with rpm window switch, steeda timing adjuster, 255lph racing fuel pump, ngk tr spark plugs, new coils, and sct tuner with custom tune to 125 shot, also i have just installed stage 2 clutch and lightweight flywheel and motor mounts. Suspension, steeda spings, steeda camber plates, lowered 1.5 inches, engine sway support, frame conectors and 315 35 17 on back. I am wondering what should be my next step for this. I have 1000 dollar budget. Any input would be great..Thanks

I'd do some gears and long-tube headers, granted I don't know if that's the kind of answer you wanted to hear since you posted in the power adders section. Technically, this sections just for nitrous, turbos, and superchargers.

I would go with a cam to be honest.

Yeah if you are running nitrous a specific cam to complement that would be sweet

I forgot to put into my original thread, that the car has 373 gears now. and that was another one of my questions, if 410 would be a good choice or with the nitrous would it make first gear a waste. How much power would a cam add to the car if it was specific for nitrous.

If you've already got 3.73 gears, then you wouldn't see much change in switching to 4.10s. It's not worth the money.

I'd say just save your money till you can afford heads and a set of cams. Install them both at the same time so you don't have to tear down the engine twice.

Do you drag race the car? If you do I would upgrade the rear end with better axles for sure so you don't break them at the track on sticky tires which sucks.

why would you spend money on a cam, or heads....or anything else. if you want mor hp add more nitrous...much cheaper.

maybe buy a set wheels and tires for the track?

what do you do with the car, and what are your goals?

He is already rockin a 125 anything above that is asking for trouble unless he builds the motor anyway which is expensive

He would also need to get a direct port nitrous kit because going above 125 or 150 on a kit that sprays before the TB is asking to blow up

almost any aftermarket stuff you do to a car is going shorten it's life if it makes it faster but nitrous or FI is way worse than a cam or heads

running anymore nitrous will mostlikely blow the motor...125 shop is prolly puttin his car close to 400 hp and 450-480 torque. that kind of power is about the threshold of the motor.

OP, sell your timing adjuster that way you can buy a more useful part.

i second the idea of building the rear end with 31 spline axles and differential.
