Default HELP WATER PROBLEM??????????

hey guys got a 97 base coupe, damn drivers floorboard keeps getting wet when it rains hard, ran a hose over it with a friend inside nothing, checked the firewall didnt see anything obvious, put new window rubber in on drivers side cause by the way thats the side getting wet, seems like the carpet up by the drivers kick panel and floor in front of the seat is the only spot, and the rug coming down from under the dash is not,so it would lead me to a door or window problem, but i cant for the life of me figure out where as i said i just replaced the window rubber the part that the actual window hits and about 3 months ago replaced the door rubber,so whats next? anybody else having this issue or know what else to check? thnx for any and all ideas bb

try pulling back the carpet starting at the firewall. sounds like you might have a dry rotted plug somewhere. also, pull the kick panel off and look for issues there.
good luck!!

Has it been raining (or from washing), or have you had the A/C runninng? If you can elimitate outside water or condensation from the A/C you could get on the right track.

Default UPDATE TO WATER PROBLEM

ok guys finally figured it out apparently the water coming down the cowl was running down the hood latch cable and in thru thr grommet, and was running down behind the insulation to the floorboard, thats why we never thought it was coming in thru the firewall cause the carpet on the firewall wasnt wet, anyway sealed up the grommet hole and all is well no more wet floorboard thnx for all ur advice and help.hope maybe someone in the future will find this useful. thnx again bb
